The Future of Travel

Open for Winter and Beyond!

The winter season is here in Queenstown and we are excited to be open again to welcome visitors to The Spire Hotel for the alpine experience.

Local ski resorts got the lifts rolling on the weekend and opening day was one for the ages with fantastic snow conditions and a new Gondola for uplift on Coronet Peak. GM James Cavanagh took the image above on a sunrise excursion before the lifts were running – well worth the effort!

After such an uncertain time globally it is such a pleasure to be up and running for the season.

Queenstown is humming again with visitors from all over New Zealand, and of course the internationals who stayed on in Aotearoa in March to be temporary Kiwis while COVID knocks everyone else around.

With the mountains on everyone’s mind, here is a link to a wonderful article from our friends at Mabey Ski.  Here in New Zealand we are blessed to be free of all the headaches going on in the travel industry and provide a world class destination for travellers from all over the world.  Once our borders open again for the international market this will absolutely be THE place to come for low intensity, high quality travel experiences.

If you’re in New Zealand, get on a plane down here ASAP – for the rest of the world you may have to wait a little longer, but it will be worth the wait.

Best wishes for the season ahead and the rest of 2020.
